The Frazer Type 3 EMS is a custom-built ambulance designed for Advanced Life Support (ALS) and rescue services that need tight maneuverability, independent power, and a comfortable, efficient patient care environment. Mounted on a cutaway van chassis with a low floor height and available in 12 ft and 14 ft modules, this Type 3 ambulance makes loading, treatment, and transport easier for crews on every call.

The Frazer Type 3 EMS is mounted on a cutaway van chassis that delivers a shorter turning radius and lower frame rails than traditional truck chassis. This gives crews better control in congested urban areas, tighter hospital bays, and narrow stations.

The lower floor height makes it easier to load cots and heavy equipment and eliminates the need for air-suspension lowering features, reducing complexity and maintenance. The result is a highly maneuverable, EMS-focused vehicle that’s built for daily frontline use.

Every Frazer Type 3 EMS is built around an independent power system so the patient module doesn’t rely on the chassis alternator or battery. This improves reliability, reduces strain on the truck, and keeps critical systems running.

  • 120 VAC on-board generator for full, independent power to the module
  • 125 amp power supply (120VAC to 12VDC) with lifetime warranty
  • Automatic fail-safe system to maintain 12VDC power to the patient module during generator interruption
  • 30 amp shore power receptacle to run the air conditioner/heater in the station
  • Self-contained 120VAC air conditioner/heater with UV light and proven 35° temperature differential

The Type 3 EMS module is engineered to be durable, serviceable, and easy to maintain. It features a completely wood-free structure with fully welded structural-grade aluminum tubing for long-term strength and corrosion resistance.

  • Chrome automotive-style rotary latches on all entry and compartment doors
