EN ISO 14001:2016

Environmental Management System (EMS)

This is a system-oriented standard that defines the requirements for a company’s environmental management system. It results in knowledge of and compliance with environmental requirements, a system for improving the company’s environmental performance and preventing environmental accidents.

Within the internal company processes, we follow the valid and recognized ISO 9001 standard. This methodology is followed from the purchase of materials, the selection of suppliers or their products, to the output quality control. The transfer of information from development to production and the technical preparation of production are also an integral part of this.

DGUV Regel 112-191

The Main Focus of DGUV Rule 112-191:

  • Orthopaedic Modification of Safety Footwear
  • This rule is key for the modification and use of orthopaedic insoles and footwear adjustments in safety, protective, and occupational footwear.

The most important point established by DGUV Regel 112-191 is:

  • Permission for Orthopaedic Modifications: The rule stipulates the conditions under which it is possible to insert orthopaedic insoles or perform other orthopaedic modifications (such as sole adjustments) into safety footwear (which meets standards like EN ISO 20345).
  • Preservation of Protective Function: The main goal is to ensure that these modifications do not alter or compromise the original certified protective properties of the footwear, such as: Toe protection (toecap strength against impact and compression), Antistatic properties, Puncture resistance.
  • Baumusterprüfung (Type Examination/Approval): The rule requires that the insoles or modifications must be tested and certified (i.e., "Baumustergeprüft") in combination with the specific model of safety footwear. This means that orthopaedic insoles from regular (non-certified) footwear must not simply be inserted into safety footwear, as this could invalidate its certification and, consequently, the insurance coverage for the employee in case of an injury.
